# ⚖️ Disclaimer & Use-at-Your-Own-Risk Notice

**Please read this before using MissionMate.** By downloading, installing, or using this software ("MissionMate", "the pack", "the software"), you agree to the following. If you do not agree, do not use it.

> **Plain English first:** This is a powerful, do-it-yourself toolkit that runs AI agents on *your own computer*. It can run commands, create and change files, install software, and spend money through AI services you connect. **You use it entirely at your own risk.** You are responsible for what you run, what your agents do, your own API keys and the costs they incur, and for keeping your data backed up. It's provided **"as is"**, with **no warranty**, and the author is **not liable** for anything that happens as a result of using it.

## 1. "As is", no warranty
The software is provided **"AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranty of any kind**, express or implied — including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, security, or non-infringement. The author does not warrant that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or that it will meet your requirements.

## 2. Use at your own risk
You assume **all risk** arising from installing and using the software. It runs on your machine and can, among other things:
- **execute terminal commands**, and **create, modify, move, or delete files**;
- **install software and dependencies**;
- **connect to third-party AI services and spend money** via API keys *you* provide;
- act through autonomous agents that take multi-step actions.

You are responsible for reviewing what it does, supervising agent actions, and **keeping your own backups**. Don't run it on data or systems you can't afford to lose.

## 3. Your keys, your costs, your responsibility
The pack ships with **placeholder keys only** — you supply your own. You are solely responsible for:
- keeping your API keys, passwords, and credentials **secure** (never commit or share them);
- **all charges and usage** billed by any third-party service you connect (Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, ElevenLabs, HeyGen, Suno, Google, xAI, Sakana, Moonshot/Kimi, Zhipu/GLM, and others);
- monitoring and capping your own spend. Autonomous loops can make many calls — set limits.

## 4. Third-party services & tools
The MissionMate connects to independent third-party tools and APIs. It is **not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by** any of them. Your use of each is governed by **that provider's own terms and policies**, which you are responsible for reading and complying with. The author is not responsible for third-party services — their availability, changes, pricing, outages, or actions.

## 5. AI output is not professional advice
AI-generated output can be **inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or fabricated**. **Verify anything important before relying on it.** Nothing produced by the software is legal, financial, medical, tax, or other professional advice. Do not rely on it for decisions that require a qualified professional.

## 6. Your conduct
You agree to use the software **lawfully and ethically**, and only on systems and data you are authorised to access. You are solely responsible for how you use it and for the consequences. Do not use it to do anything illegal, harmful, infringing, or that violates anyone's rights or any third party's terms.

## 7. Limitation of liability
To the **maximum extent permitted by applicable law**, in no event shall the author (Julian Goldie), the AI Profit Boardroom, or any contributor be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages — including loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business interruption, or any costs incurred through connected services — arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole and exclusive remedy is to stop using the software.

## 8. No legal advice; review for your situation
This document is a general, good-faith notice — **it is not legal advice** and may not cover your specific circumstances or jurisdiction. If you intend to rely on it commercially, have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer for your situation.

## 9. Changes
The software is provided to AI Profit Boardroom members and may change or be discontinued at any time without notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
